THE SPACE
The Grove is a multi-use building; we are first and foremost a music venue, boasting a 350 capacity music hall (fitted with a wonderful L’Acoustics System we might add), however we are so much more than that. We are a bar with 16 taps and cosy seating; we are a cocktail bar with a host of premium cocktails & mocktails; we are an event space; we are a massive old industrial building turned cultural venue in the heart of Newcastle’s east end, where Byker meets the Ouseburn Valley. WHO’S IT FOR?
Gig-goers, pint-drinkers, cocktails-swillers, summer-courtyard-sitting-natterers, Ouseburn-crawling-hipsters, passer-by-cyclists, craft market fanatics, pub-quizzers, baby-bringing day-timers, and flat-white drinkers. We’re an inclusive space that welcomes one and all.
THE VENUE
Fully accessible live music venue but *not only* a space for gigs. We also regularly show the football and host DJ events. It’s also available to hire for private parties, business events and special occasions. 350 standing capacity, 80 seated with tables, 180 seated for conference/theatre setup. THE COCKTAIL BAR
A dedicated cocktail bar with comfy booths, chilled tunes and an array of house cocktails shaken and stirred by our dedicated mixologists (2 for £12 Sunday to Thursday). We recommend a boogie whilst sipping on the ‘Ant & Decked’! Hungover? Pick your spice and our signature bloody mary will be sure to cure any headache. Available to hire depending on availability (midweek & Sundays only). 120 standing, 70 seated with tables, 90 seated for conference/theatre setup.
THE DOWNSTAIRS BAR
Fancy a tipple but not mad on cocktails? We have a host of other options available from our main bar, including a variety of spirits, wine, and beers on tap, as well as tea/coffee and non-alcoholic options.
THE TERRACE & COURTYARD
There’s plenty of standing and seating space in our outdoor areas. Grab a drink from our new bar in the courtyard and kick back in the Byker sun. Food is available from our partnered vendors located outside every Friday-Sunday.
